Summer Newsletter 2025

Oh I do like to be beside the Sea Side!

To all new and existing clients, welcome to our newsletter!

A massive thank you to all who came along to celebrate with us at our 30th Anniversary Party down at The Hut. It was a lovely day, lots of laughter, and we were very lucky with the warm weather. The catering was prepared and made by the Crescent Café, which seemed to have gone down a treat. There are pictures and more information on our website.

News from the office

We have welcomed Gemma as a new senior, many of you may have already met her. We have also 2 new carers Avalon and Carina who are starting their induction training on 23rd July, so you may see them out and about when they do their shadow shifts. Please try and welcome them, just a gentle reminder they are new and learning. And it will take time for them to learn your routines.

Felixstowe Carnival 2025

Rose Care are taking part in the Felixstowe Carnival this year, the theme is “Books” we have decided to dress as characters from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. It would be lovely if you are able to come down and watch the procession, you are more than welcome to join us in the parade! If you let the office know we will try and accommodate this for you.  Don’t worry you do not need to dress up unless you wish too.

Rose Care Club

Rose Care Club has been very popular recently and we have already had lots of great outings, including fish and chips at the Sea You Cafe. This was quite a popular outing. If you have any ideas or there are any places you would like to visit, please let the office know. We are always looking for ideas, and these trips are for you.

New Office Opening in Norfolk

We are delighted to share some exciting news with you - Rose Care is in the process of setting up a new branch in Norfolk!

This expansion reflects our commitment to bringing the same outstanding care, trusted values, and dedication to quality that you have come to expect from us. We are proud to have appointed an additional Director, Sophie, and a new Registered Manager, Vicky, to lead this new branch, ensuring our high standards are maintained from the very beginning.

While we have submitted our application to the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are not yet providing care services in Norfolk. We will keep you updated as things progress.

If you have friends or family in the Norfolk area who may benefit from our services in the future, we would love to hear from you.

Thank you for your continued support.

Hot Weather Warning

  • Keep blinds down and windows closed to keep your home cooler.
  • Most medication should be kept below 25°C – please be aware when the weather is hot!
  • Drink plenty of water to avoid getting dehydrated, avoid alcohol as it can dehydrate you.
  • Remember to ask the carers if you need extra beverages to stop you getting dehydrated and snacks for in-between meals. You must still eat even if you’re not feeling hungry.
  • A damp cloth or a splash of water on the back of your neck can be better at cooling you down than a fan.
  • Limit the use of ovens and stoves during the hottest parts of the day to reduce indoor heat.

Many thanks from Laura and the team
