Home Carer

At Rose Care Norfolk, we provide compassionate, high-quality care to people in their homes, tailored to their unique needs — from personal care and medication support to companionship and end-of-life support.
Nature of Carer Role
As a carer you will assist clients with personal care including:
- Strip washing, bathing and showering
- Applying creams
- Hair care
- Maintaining oral hygiene. This may include denture cleaning.
- Assisting with all aspects of medication
- Use of commode or toilet. This may involve emptying commodes and chemical toilets and disposing correctly of incontinence pads.
You coud also will help clients with every day activities such as:
- Housework
- Laundry/ironing
- Preparing and cooking meals
- Telephoning and letter writing
- Accompanying clients on excursions and visits
- Companionship

Support, Training & Terms
Carers report to the Team Leader or Registered Manager
- Company induction for all new carers
- We will support you to take Care Certificate for all carers new to the care industry
- Probation period- usually 3 months, but may be increased
- Weekly supervision and observations for the first 3 months (we like to support you to become confident in your role)
- Quarterly supervisions and yearly performance appraisals (we like to support you with your continued professional development)
- Performance-related annual bonus, awarded on following criteria: reliability; willingness to assist when other staff members are unable to work; assisting clients more than what is required by their care plan; being punctual and smart at all times; attending at least the required number of staff meetings; being kind and considerate to other members of staff; promoting Rose Care at all times.
